Airbus A330-700 BelugaXL er designet for å kunne frakte flykomponenter for Airbus. Modellen kan utstilles med nesen åpen eller lukket.

Herpa er den største tilbyderen av flymodeller i 1:500-skala. Modellene er ikke beregnet for barn under 14 år.

The BelugaXL is based on the A330 and has a 30% higher capacity than its predecessor, the A300-600ST, allowing it to transport, for example, two A350 wings at the same time, compared to the single wing the original Beluga can carry. Externally, the XL can be most easily recognized by its “smile”, which further emphasizes the appearance of the whale. On July 21, 2023, the sixth and final BelugaXL took off from Toulouse for its maiden flight. In contrast to the first five, Beluga #6 winks on its port side. The die-cast metal model in the 1:500 scale is manufactured with an interchangeable plastic component, allowing it to be displayed with the nose hatch open or closed.

Herpa is the largest provider of 1:500 diecast models and is also known for the best quality in this scale. These smaller models provide opportunities for collectors to gather a large collection without the need of much space, and there are also accessories available for those that wish to set up their own airport diorama with buildings and equipment. These models are not suitable for children below 14 years of age.
