EFM is a joint venture between Lufthansa and Munich Airport. The company has been ensuring smooth operations at the airport since 1992 and is responsible for towing, de-icing and air-conditioning the aircraft. EFM's vehicle fleet carries out more than 200,000 towing and up to 15,000 de-icing operations every year. EFM operates around 30 tractors, including the state-of-t-art AST-2 Phoenix from Goldhofer.
